What courses do you offer?
We offer training in trades such as Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Welding, and other occupational skills. Short courses and customised programmes are also available.
Who can apply?
Our programmes are open to unemployed youth, employed workers who want to upskill, and organisations seeking workplace skills development for their staff.
Do you assist with job placement?
While job placement is not guaranteed, we partner with industry stakeholders and employers to link trained learners to opportunities.
Do you provide certification?
Yes, successful learners receive SETA-accredited certificates of competence.
Where is Protech Training based?
We are based in Pretoria, Rosslyn, but we also serve learners from surrounding areas and collaborate with organisations across South Africa.
How do I apply for a course?
Applications can be submitted online via our Apply Now button or in person at our offices. Required documents include a certified copy of your ID, latest school results, and proof of residence.
What are the entry requirements?
Entry requirements depend on the programme. Apprenticeships and Learnerships require a minimum requirement of Grade 9, Short skills programmes are open to anyone with an interest in the trade. Trade Tests/ARPL require a minimum of 3 years working experience in that respective trade.
How long do the courses take?
Duration varies by programme. Short skills programmes can take a few weeks, while full learnerships and apprenticeships can take 12–36 months.
Is funding or financial aid available?
Yes, in some cases training is funded through partnerships with SETAs, government departments, or NGOs. Private students may also apply on a self-funded basis.
Do you provide workplace exposure or internships?
Yes. Many of our programmes include workplace-based learning in line with SETA requirements, giving learners practical experience.
What support do learners get during training?
Learners receive academic support, mentorship, and in some cases meals and transport stipends, depending on the project funder.
Are your courses recognised nationally?
Yes, our programmes are accredited by SETAs and recognised nationally. Learners receive official statements of results and certificates of competence.

What happens after I complete my training?
You will receive an accredited certificate. While employment is not guaranteed, we actively link learners to opportunities through our industry network.
